summary practice 2

The carbon emissions in the Middle East and North Africa have doubled in the past years and there is some problem in it. The big part is the rich country in oil and gas are using it wastefully. A carbon emission is created as people burn fossil fuels to get electricity and power car and stuff like that. Over all, calculating emission is very important because it shows responsibility that we must share. The second part of the problem is one key area which has a lot of potential and it was creating by inefficient use of resources. So, they will develop energy efficiency standards to small – scale air – conditioning equipment under development by the emirates authority.

Summary Practice 1

Gemasolar is a new solar power plant backed by Abu Dhabi's energy company Masdar and the Spanish engineering firm. Gemasolar is the first solar power getting heat from the sun and converted into electricity for 24 hours. The idea of producing electricity is creating electricity by using large mirrors to transfer the heat energy from sun rays. Then, the sun rays moving from mirrors to the receiver, so the molten salt pumped up to the receiver where it is heated by the rays. After that, creating steam which generates electricity. Mirrors must not be large so then they would wobble in the wind or need steel support and they also had to build a separate control system to manage it.
